Concentrations


The LLC offers the opportunity to study culture through interdisciplinary fields of critical concentration, including: Comparative Cultural Studies, Intensive Area Studies, Film and Visual Culture, Literary Studies, Medieval and Modern Studies.

The Critical Concentration in Comparative Cultural Studies offers students the chance to examine the permutations of culture across a variety of contexts, such as national, regional, and linguistic. 

The Critical Concentration in Film and Visual Culture offers students the chance to focus on analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating film and other forms of visual media in a cross-cultural framework. 

The Critical Concentration in Literary Studies offers students the chance to focus on analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating literary texts in a cross-cultural framework.

The Critical Concentration in Medieval and Early Modern Studies provides students with the opportunity to study the medieval and early modern period in a cross-cultural framework.
