Biography

Prof. Andrea Hoa Pham earned her PH.D from the University of Toronto. A faculty member at the University of Florida since 2002, she specializes in the phonological systems and dialects of Vietnamese. She has published extensively on linguistic theory and dialectal variation, most notably in her foundational work on the Quang Nam dialect. Beyond her academic research, Prof. Pham is a creative writer and translator who has published original poetry as well as translated linguistic and bilingual poetry volumes.
