SPECIAL NOTES:

a.  Students must take the Japanese Proficiency Test Level N3, or the equivalent, but the end of the second semester of the third-year language course.

b. Students must also achieve satisfactory faculty evaluation of a self-selected term paper written for an upper-division course or senior thesis.
