Bio
Theresa A. Antes (PhD, Cornell) is a specialist in French Applied Linguistics. She works primarily in Second Language Acquisition and Pedagogy, with current research interests in second language vocabulary. She has published two textbooks and in a variety of journals, including French Review, Foreign Language Annals, TESL-EJ, and Language and Sociocultural Theory. She is a frequent presenter at conferences such as AAAL, AATF and KFLC. Her teaching includes primarily courses at the upper-division undergraduate and graduate levels: Composition and Stylistics (FRE 3320); French Conversation and Interaction (FRE 3410); Structure of French (FRE 4850/6855); French in the 21st Century (FRE 4930/6856); Foreign Language Teaching Methods (FOL 6943). She is affiliate faculty in the Department of Linguistics, where she offers Introduction to Second Language Acquisition (LIN 4721/6720) and special topics courses.
