EXCHANGE INFORMATION
- Accepts 2 students per semester; option to extend an additional semester.
- Japanese language courses + extensive English elective courses, all for UFGPA credit.
- No Japanese language requirements.
The program at Nagoya University, called NUPACE, is ideal for students in Japanese, International Studies, or STEM majors because NUPACE offers a unique curriculum consisting of Japanese language instruction, Japan area/intercultural studies, and courses in the student’s major field of study, taught both in English and Japanese. They offer over 800 courses taught in English, and the courses are in a wide variety of subjects e.g., (environmental studies, engineering, global studies, among others). No previous study of Japanese language is required, but all students in the program must take a Japanese language course (can be used to satisfy the UF language requirement). Nagoya University is among the top 5 national universities in Japan. Nagoya is a major metropolis midway between Tokyo and Kyoto.
REQUIREMENTS AND APPLICATION
- Minimum UF GPA of 3.0.
- Japanese language ability is not required.
